DIVING EQUIPMENT

All diving equipment is serviced, and records are maintained in accordance with IMCA guidelines and applicable Australian Standards. Records are managed within the Namaka Subsea Asset Management System (NAMS).

Inshore Air Diving Spreads:

Indianic maintains multiple inshore portable diving spreads, in addition to in-built diving systems within 3 of our vessels. The vessel-based systems are compliant with IMCA DO40, as is a dedicated containerised system which can be mobilised to site by truck. All systems comprise industry leading Kirby Morgan dive helmets and Fibron umbilicals with compliant air distribution panels, communications, and video recording capabilities. All of Indianic’s equipment is compliant with either IMCA guidelines or AS:2299.

Diving and Chamber support units:

Indianic operates two 60″ decompression chambers, mounted within air-conditioned 20′ containers.

Both systems are deck decompression chambers (DDCs) and are registered pressure vessels with WorkSafe WA.

System One is the primary stand-alone hyperbaric support system, compliant with AS/NZS 2299 chamber requirements. It is a Perry Submarine Products (USA) manufactured unit.

System Two is a combined dive control and 60″ deck decompression chamber (DDC) system.

It includes a three-diver dive control panel, twisted Fibron umbilicals, and Kirby Morgan KM37 helmets.

Both DDC systems are additionally deployed with an onshore hyperbaric medical kit.

Contaminated Water Diving Spread (isolated)

These systems are established under strict quarantine procedures. Equipment is specifically maintained and isolated for use in contaminated water environments, in accordance with IMCA and NAVSEA guidance for diving in contaminated waters to Category 2 level.

The spread is supported by a dedicated air diving system.

Equipment includes:

  • 2 × Viking Pro contamination diving dry suits, fitted with integrated neck dams for Kirby Morgan KM37 helmets
  • 3 × Kirby Morgan KM37 helmets with quad-valve exhaust systems
  • Fibron video umbilicals
  • 3 × environmentally sealed bailout regulators with EN144 connections
